Montgomery County 911 is currently partnering with Kimball & Associates  in securing Kimball’s recommended information for the preparation of deploying the NextGen E-911 (Next Generation Enhanced 911) solution for Montgomery County Texas.  This is referred to as the ESInet [Emergency Services IP Network ] by the National Emergency Number Association [NENA].

Next Generation E911 will allow hearing and speech impaired callers the ability to send a text message for assistance to our 911 call center, as well as a generation of individuals whom use text messaging as their preferred communication format.

The Next Generation E911 service will also allow the Montgomery County 911 call center the ability to receive photographs and streaming video from camera phones.

The acquisition of the above information will allow First Responders the ability to have additional pre-arrival information to assist the 911 caller.
